VxVM 3.x adds the powerful capability to create "layered volumes", the ability to create a volume inside a volume. Sadly, practical coverage of creating such volumes has been sparse. In this tutorial we discuse the topic at length and walk thru several examples of creating layered volumes from start to finish with a focus on RAID1+0.
