Pop Art
17 07 06 00:06 by tamrI was just cooling down and flipping through bookmarks I don't remember, and I found some Pop Art, which is pretty good stuff.
I found Lisa Ballard, and her stuff is just amazing. You gotta see it:

But my favorite is:

It's been a long, long day
I got some run-down shoes
Ain't got no place to stay
But any old place will be okay
It's been a long, long day
I sure been on this road
Done nearly fourteen years
Can't say my name's well known
You don't see my face in Rolling Stone
But I sure been on this road
Slow motion
Half a dollar bill
Jukebox in the corner
Shooting to kill
And it's been a...
It's been a long, long day
I sure could use a friend
Don't know what else to say
I hate to abuse an old cliche
But it's been a long, long day
Its been a long, long day
What is the Pursuit of Happiness?
04 07 06 16:17 by tamrFark.com had a good survey article on "what does 'the pursuit of happiness' mean to you?"
Happy 4th of July, btw!
I thought I'd post some good responses:

I know that's not a very complex or detailed answer, but it's a pretty simple issue to me.

With personal freedom comes responsibility, but the right to be stupid in others' opinion, as well.

But yeah, doing anything to be near the ones you love (and love you back) is probably it, now...
*slaps forehead* I KNEW I should've turned at Albuquerque.
My own idea of the pursuit of happiness?
Something along the lines of being grateful for being alive (it seems silly and overused, but it is a big deal for me), being able to vote (another biggie for me), being able to attend a university and kick ass in it, being able to stay home and raise Ben and my children (another very big deal) and of course being married to the greatest man on earth, and pursuing insight into what God created....I'm talking about nature and crazy things like physics, and wtf is up with the platypus...that kind of stuff. There is so much stuff "out there," I just want to check it out and enjoy myself doing so. Oh sure, sometimes you step in buffalo patties when you're trekking across the wilderness, but the smell goes away after a while, and you're left with the incredible memory of finding fox sparrows taking baths on leaves just showered with water (that happened the other day...it was amazing to watch, those things were so tiny). I think that is my pursuit of happiness. Just chillin :)
